How can we help?

Frequently asked questions

How does a visit to the cardiologist work?

A detailed conversation is followed by a thorough physical examination and we take your blood pressure and pulse. We usually write an ECG and do an ultrasound of the heart. We will then tell you what further steps are necessary in the course of the procedure, for example, a blood analysis, imaging procedures or a stress test.

What should I bring to the appointment?

It is very helpful for us if you can provide us with your previous medical history as well as your exact current medication. An allergy passport also gives us important information. For administrative purposes, please also remember your social security card. We will let you know when to bring sportswear for a stress test.

How can I make an appointment?

You can contact us by telephone on 265049, send an email at info@cardiosteinfort.lu or book an appointment directly through this website.

Can I come without a referral from another doctor?

Yes. If you would like advice on cardiovascular health care or cardiological problems, for example, symptoms such as chest pain, palpitations or dizziness, high blood pressure, heart disease in the family or for preventive examinations in the context of sporting activity, you can come to us directly at any time.

Can I bring a companion with me?

Yes. We know that it is often helpful to have a trusted person with you. Especially if you have language difficulties, it is a good idea to bring someone along to translate.

Are there parking places available?

There are several parking spaces available in front of the practice. You will also find plenty of free parking on the main road, directly next to the practice.

Is the practice accessible for disabled users?

Yes, the practice is at ground level and all examination rooms are easily accessible. A disabled toilet is also available.

What languages are spoken?

Our entire team speaks Luxembourgish, French, German and English, and some of us also speak Portuguese. Medical reports can also be prepared in multiple languages.

What should I do in an emergency?

In case of an emergency you should always dial 112 for immediate medical care.
